Batman Trailer

the dark knight strikes the movie screen

The Caped Crusader has appeared in animated form at various times throughout history. Some of these incarnations have fared better than othersafter all, they can’t all be winners. To save you a lot of wasted time, here are some of the best Batman-related animated series. The New Adventures of Batman (1977): Produced at the same time as the legendary Super Friends series, The New Adventures of Batman was a direct continuation of the 1960s Batman TV series. Both Adam West and Burt Ward reprised their roles as Batman and Robin, respectively, for the series. If you appreciated the tone of the earlier series, you’ll love this one, which includes the mischievous imp Bat-Mite.Batman: The Animated Series (1992-1995): This Emmy-winning series was a hit with both children and adults, largely thanks to its unique visual style and its mature writing. Kevin Conroy, who provided the voice of Batman, was the first Batman actor to hit on the idea of using two distinct voices for Bruce Wayne and Batmanan idea that Michael Keaton and Christian Bale would both use in the live-action films. Many episodes in the series were based off of actual comic book stories.Batman Beyond (1999-2001): Whereas B:TAS looked to the past (specifically 1940s noir) for inspiration, Batman Beyond was set in a dystopian, cyberpunk future. To fit the new tone, a new hero was createdTerry McGinniswho stumbles upon an elderly Bruce Wayne’s secret past. Kevin Conroy once again played Bruce Wayne, but he served as the employer rather than the main character in this series. Batman Beyond was also praised for its dark tone and unique technological focus.Batman: The Brave and the Bold (2008-present): This lighter-toned Batman series is a successful adaptation of the comic series The Brave and the Bold, which originally focused on Batman’s “team-ups” with other heroes. The show has introduced a number of lesser-known heroes and villains, such as Blue Beetle, Plastic Man, Major Disaster, Nabu, Kite Man, Mr. Mind, and many more.
